Lingfield winner Regal Glory is open to further progression having gone up 3lb, while Burena (fourth) has over two lengths to find with the selection from their most recent meeting, but she is 6lb better off now.

Previous C&D scorer SANDY PARADISE appeals from just 1lb higher than his last winning mark and, having posted a respectable effort on his debut for Richard Hughes here 10 days ago, he could be hard to beat given the runner-up from that race franked the form with a win at Chelmsford last Thursday. Cool Vixen is still well treated on the pick of her form and is rated as the main threat to the selection. Ostilio is also considered.

MOON OVER THE SEA got off to a flyer on his first start for in-form trianer Tony Carroll when landing a similar contest at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago. He has an obvious chance in a race of this nature with further improvement likely at this distance. Bass Strait is another appealing option following her gutsy success gained under 7lb apprentice Rose Dawes over 2m here 11 days ago. Bond Spirit is also taken seriously.

With just the five runners heading to post for this contest, a chance can be taken with LOGISTICAL, who makes his handicap debut following a disappointing run over 1m2f at Lingfield last November. He is fairly well-related and looks bred to be better than recent efforts suggest, while Dancing Gypsy seeks to build on his handicap bow off a 3lb lower mark and is feared most. Timewave looks the pick of the remainder.

BUNGLE BAY had Port Noir back in second when securing a comfortable victory on his latest outing over this trip at Wolverhampton and a 2lb rise for that success seems fairly lenient, so he looks entitled to uphold that form. The latter should not be taken lightly, though, while the Archie Watson-trained Monsieur Fantaisie was a beaten favourite when just losing second last time out and is another to consider.
