13:20 Wolverhampton

I’m guessing Algheed will be popular here after justifying strong support last time but I’m keen to side with CARIAD ANGEL in opposition. This Dark Angel filly really impressed running on strongly over the minimum here at the start of the month. Now the penny has dropped she should love going back up in trip to 6f and I think she’ll defy a 4lb rise with further improvement to come. Algheed is on a hat-trick and obviously feared but another 2lb rise in what looks a better race makes things tougher.

Billy Loughnane is riding out his skin at the moment and is great value for his 7lb claim but I think she might just be overbet as a result. Hello Me likes this track and continues to tumble down the weights but if you’re backing her you’re just guessing and hoping she returns to form and I’ve not seen enough to make her a play right now so she is passed over.

20:00 Kempton

Unexposed over a mile and a half DINOO is a strong play to get his head back in front for Roger Varian at Kempton on Thursday night. This son of Starspangledbanner showed a great attitude to win at Wolverhampton back in November. He was given plenty to do that day but ran on strongly to get up on the line. He has been beaten twice at Lingfield since but finished well when third behind Tahasun having been well backed and then failed by just a nose looking unlucky last time.

He runs off the same mark here and this longer trip should prove ideal. Legendary Day is interesting back on the Flat with Ryan Sexton claiming 3lb as he was in decent form over hurdles when last seen. Mille Miglia is likeable and was back in the winners enclosure on penultimate start and only went down a length at Southwell last time so could be the main danger.
