New Approach colt TOOPHAN caught the eye finishing well for second on return from a short break at Newcastle last month. The winner Asdaa made all on that occasion and has won twice since to frank the form. He then stepped up in trip again finishing with running left over C&D on Monday. The winner Arcadian Nights is a decent yardstick but he has to carry a penalty here and the selection runs off the same mark so is 5lb better off. If he can get covered up for a little longer here I think he’ll be finishing best and is worth chancing at the prices. Mick Appleby is in tremendous form so War In Heaven has to be feared after springing a massive upset over track and trip earlier in the month. He seemed to relish going up in trip so if building on that will likely be involved too. Johnny Boom impressed winning twice here recently but has ground to make up with the two mentioned above on that last run.
