I know KING’S GEM was a beaten favourite here on Wednesday but he still ran a big race on that occasion and looked the winner before getting run down late. He was a bit edgy heading down to the start that day and restless in the stalls as a result. That cost him some ground early and I think it effected how he was ridden in the race. In hindsight he came with his run too soon but it was still a good effort. This is just his fifth start and only second in a handicap so off the same mark I think he’ll be difficult to beat. Jamie Spencer gets the leg up and he should be up to justifying favouritism. Princess Naomi shaped with plenty of encouragement going down 2 lengths on return at Kempton last time. If she strips fitter and takes to tapeta she could be the danger. Evolicatt bumped into an improver last time and also has to be respected.

I’ve been really impressed with the progression TENNESSEE DREAM has made recently and the hat-trick may well be on the cards here. She left previous form well behind to win easily over 6f here earlier in the month and then followed up showing a good attitude over the same trip at Southwell on Wednesday. She is back in a handicap here and goes back up to 7f but could have more to offer off her current mark and so looks worth chancing. Charlie Hills is in good form too and Kevin Stott is riding with confidence so plenty of positives. Rowdown Roza was only beaten a length at Southwell and back up in trip could emerge as the main danger. Skyblue Expert impressed winning narrowly at Kempton back in November and has run some good races in defeat since. He does have a decent draw so is definitely another one who could run a big race.
