There has been a lot of money for ODIN OWNS YOU ALL at Newcastle this afternoon and I’m going to row in with the gamble. This No Nay Never colt shaped with plenty of promise on debut at Southwell despite only finishing fifth. He was a touch slow away and then pulled hard under Danny Muscutt. Once asked to try and get involved the penny did seem to drop and he ran on well but the race was gone. He steps up to a mile now and wears a first-time hood so is expected to take a big step forward.

Kingman colt Born Ruler was never put in the race on debut at Lingfield but is bred to be pretty useful and should be sharper here so might be the danger. Oasis Dream colt Nuketown also finished well on debut but a slow start cost him any chance. He has course experience so should go well for a long way here you’d think.

When GALLYHILL won at Down Royal back in May you really felt like he’d kick on over fences. That hasn’t quite happened being beaten twice so far this season but he didn’t run badly when runner-up at Fairyhouse last month and looks to be coming to the boil now. He remains open to further improvement and with Davy Russell booked this could be his time to shine. This step back up in trip is firmly in his favour and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go close.

Broomfields Jeremy has failed to fire so far this season but better can probably be expected now handicapping back up in trip. Still seems to have enough to prove at present though. R’evelyn Pleasure isn’t getting any younger and fell at Limerick last time so a bounce back is called for. If Stumptown can jump more fluently then he might be able to surprise a few but looks to have enough to find.
