19:30 Southwell

This is arguably the most competitive race of the day but I can’t help but feel CORSINI is overpriced at 9/1. This filly by Mastercraftsman has always promised better and hasn’t shaped badly the last twice since joining Kevin Philippart De Foy. She definitely performed better than the bare result at Wolverhampton last time and dropping back in trip slightly down 2lb with Billy Loughnane up again could see her bounce back. She hit the front too soon last time and I think this track will suit better. Nine Elms and Sun Festival should push forward and she could end up getting a nice toe in. Last season she managed to get within half a length of victory at Ffos Las off a mark of 65 so 6lb lower here with an extra 2lb off due to the claimer as well she has got to go close. Plenty of dangers probably headed by Soaring Star who has had a wind op. He is far from straightforward though so who knows which horse will turn up. Midnight Train is also feared in first-time cheekpieces.
