LADY LOULOU went close to getting off the mark when beaten a neck at Chelmsford earlier this month and the application of blinkers, combined with a step up in trip, could be in her favour. Infinitive is a well-bred filly who commands respect on her first start for David O'Meara following a runner-up effort over C&D in December. Addosh and Ready To Shine appeal most of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Lady Loulou 2nd Infinitive 3rd Addosh

Anif has been a model of consistency over the past couple of months and it would be no surprise to see the nine-year-old being competitive once again. The vote, though, goes to ABRUZZO MIA following his handicap debut when just failing to get his head in front at Newcastle. The six-year-old remains unexposed on just his fifth career start, having clearly needed plenty of time with his debut only coming in September, and Michael Dods' gelding makes plenty of appeal running off the same mark. Chief's Will is respected along with Masqool.
Prediction : 1st Abruzzo Mia 2nd Anif 3rd Chiefs Will

BRAVE EMPEROR returned from a spell on the sidelines with an authoritative victory at Wolverhampton in November and the manner of that performance suggested the step up to a mile may yield further progression. Mohatu was badly hampered when runner-up on his handicap bow at Lingfield and first-time cheekpieces are likely to aid his cause, while Dagmar Run is capable of stepping forward from his recent second at Kempton.
Prediction : 1st Brave Emperor 2nd Mohatu 3rd Dagmar Run

An open event with many of these arriving in good form, so only a tentative vote can go to TIGER CRUSADE. The David Simcock-trained gelding appeared to relish the return to further when winning over C&D earlier this month and a 3lb rise ought to be manageable having won from a higher mark in the past. Zip travelled powerfully when successful at Newcastle last time out and he must be feared along with Witch Hunter, who landed a similar contest at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day. Others to note include Moai and Tylos.
Prediction : 1st Tiger Crusade 2nd Zip 3rd Witch Hunter

Midnightattheoasis sets the form standard following a good second at Chelmsford on his latest outing, but a chance it taken on FLOWER DESERT. Kevin Ryan's yard have been in good form recently and his newcomer, by Mehmas, has all the attributes to be successful in a race of this nature. Katar posted a creditable effort in handicap company last time out and he ought to hold every chance back in a maiden.
Prediction : 1st Flower Desert 2nd Midnightattheoasis 3rd Katar

There has been no stopping ALAFDHAL of late and Phil McEntee's inmate seeks a fifth consecutive success following a comfortable victory over this trip at Wolverhampton on Saturday. A 5lb penalty looks unlikely to stop him adding to that winning tally, but Walking On Clouds has scored in three of his last four runs and is expected to be thereabouts once again. Bare Necessity was a game winner on her latest outing at Lingfield and is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Alafdhal 2nd Walking On Clouds 3rd Bare Necessity

USTATH built on a good second from his penultimate outing over this C&D to secure a comfortable victory over 6f on Saturday and further improvement appears likely from the seven-year-old. Mr Funky Monkey lost little in defeat when filling the runner-up spot over this trip at Wolverhampton earlier this month and can make his presence felt, while the Liam Bailey-trained Stroxx adds further spice to the mix.
Prediction : 1st Ustath 2nd Mr Funky Monkey 3rd Stroxx
