The seven-year-old has clearly not been the easiest to train, making just two appearances in 2021, including at Royal Ascot, but he could prove tough to beat based on his third-placed finish when making his hurdling bow at Killarney in May. Imperial Bede is open to improvement following his third at Leicester, while Stellar One commands respect on debut.

BORN AT MIDNIGHT was pulled up at Fontwell when last seen on Boxing Day but it would be no surprise to see the eight-year-old bounce back to form, having enjoyed a productive autumn campaign. R Bernard would be a threat on the evidence of his second over hurdles at Wetherby in March, while a wind operation might aid the cause of Twistedfirestarter.

Moveit Like Minnie has been largely consistent in recent starts and, though she merits consideration, a chance is taken on EYED. Paul Webber's charge has shown glimpses of ability having faced a handful of stiff assignments so far, but this handicap debut presents a more suitable opportunity to get off the mark. East End Girl and Jacks Touch might not be far away either.

Zambella has been an admirable performer for her powerful connections, landing Listed honours no less than seven times, and Nigel Twiston-Davies mare is likely to be thereabouts once again. However, Gavin Cromwell sends JEREMYS FLAME, a Grade 3 winner in November, over from from Ireland and the daughter of Jeremy appears to hold the edge on these terms. Tweed Skirt is unbeaten in two starts over fences, having scored at Kempton and Wincanton, and the unexposed six-year-old shouldn't be dismissed for her leading trainer.

There looked to be something amiss with GET A TONIC when disappointing at Kempton over Christmas, and she would hold every chance if bouncing back to the form of her second at Haydock before that. Conditions looks ideal and she may have too much for the likes of easy Cheltenham winner Hector Javilex, who has gone up 8lb for that success, and The Changing Man, who narrowly missed out on a four-timer when second off 5lb lower at Taunton last month.

STRONG BELLE was pitched in at the deep end when third in Listed company on her debut over C&D last month and she could be primed to strike in much calmer waters now. Dontyawantme is open to improvement as well after a promising run at Newcastle, while Irish raider Love At Sea would be a player if bouncing back to her best. A sister to the smart Go Dante from the same stable, Little Miss Dante cost 100,000 pounds and looks to be the pick of the newcomers.
