This is a good race with the front 3 all looking quite promising but I’m keen to chance CASTLE RUSHEN for Nicky Richards. This son of Fame And Glory won twice over hurdles before bumping into some nice horses and gradually looks to be getting the hang of things over fences. He unseated on chase debut behind Grandads Cottage but quickly put that behind him when a very good second to another nice horse in O’toole here at the start of the month. He just looked a bit tapped for toe that day before running on well away from the last. He will love going up in trip here and still has a lot of potential chasing. He will likely be ridden quietly again before looking to pick them up in the closing stages. With French Paradoxe taking a fall at Ffos Las last month Old Painless may emerge as the main danger. He won easily at Plumpton and backed that up when second at Kelso latest.

I know the Skelton team have been itching to get SHOLOKJACK back out following his tumble at Uttoxeter. He fell at just the second fence that day so obviously way too early to tell what could have been. He was progressive over hurdles winning his first two starts before struggling in a good race at Kelso on final start. This former point winner still brings a lot of potential to the table and I think he’ll get back on track here. Judging by how well backed he was on chase debut I think hopes will be high for him in this discipline. The main danger in the betting also failed to complete last time unseating at Musselburgh. He should have more to offer over this trip and is feared if bouncing back. New Age Dawning has been beaten by stronger stayers the last twice so would also have to be respected dropping back in trip here to two and a half miles. Enzo D’airy may well be the pace angle.
