Back from a lengthy absence FAY CE QUE VOUDRAS was very much an eye-catcher when runner-up at Uttoxeter back in November. She improved on that to make a winning handicap debut at Hereford last time and impressed with how she was going away at the line. She made a bad mistake and Richard Patrick lost an iron but that didn’t stop her staying on strongly and she clearly has a good attitude to really hit the line hard. She is up 8lb from that but is open to plenty of progress and looks well placed to follow up. Mrs Grimley is also likeable and she jumped well to stay on strongly and win at Ffos Las at the start of the month. She will likely be the danger with more to come here. At a bigger price Corey’s Courage looked promising last year but she is yet to return to anywhere near that form in two runs so far this season so has work to do.

The money came for BROADWAY BOY on debut but he lacked fluency and was beaten less than a length. He then bumped into Authorised Speed at Lingfield but ran well keeping on at the finish. He had his first start in a handicap at Aintree next time and made no mistake staying on strongly to win going away at the line. The second Brandy McQueen won next time out to frank the form and this horse has tons of potential as a stayer. This will be a good test and I think he’ll be keeping on well at the line so he gets a confident vote to follow up. Farmer’s Gamble is a strong galloper who has knocked on the door the last twice so he might be the one to finish second again. Just A Dime likes this track and impressed beating Flemenstide here last year but he’ll need to leave that Chepstow run behind to figure as that was really disappointing especially given he was backed too.
