Broughtons Flare arrives in search of a hat-trick of victories having completed a quickfire Wolverhampton brace, with last week's Kempton scorer Dynakite and Velma completing the shortlist.

Irish Flame had clearly benefited from his debut effort when running out a comfortable winner at Newcastle, but he faces a much stiffer task on this occasion. The vote goes to REGAL EMPIRE, who stepped forward considerably when scoring over C&D and the son of Farhh is likely to progress again from that display. Imperial Ace, Roaring Legend and Bravura are others who are capable of featuring at the business end.

Shouldvebeenaring (second) finished ahead of ALPHA CAPTURE (third) when the pair met at Newcastle in October, but the latter is expected to reverse the form. William Haggas' gelding won the Rockingham at York 10 days before that Gosforth Park clash and it is feasible that the quick turnaround wasn't in his favour. The addition of a tongue-tie may further aid his cause. Glorious Angel is on a four-timer but would still require a career-best effort to win this.

It is hard to look past JUSTCALLMEPETE, who has gone up 15lb thanks to four successive victories since December. He has been rising the class ladder and landed a race of this nature over C&D in game fashion earlier this month, so it is hard to see where his ceiling lies at present. Alafdhal failed in his own bid for a five-timer in a slightly less competitive affair, also over C&D, last week but must still be feared. Murbih is another to consider.

All Dunn arrives on a hat-trick following determined victories at Chelmsford and at this venue, but a 6lb penalty isn't ideal and she is passed over in favour of AUROPHOBIA. Denied by the narrowest of margins on her most recent run at Lingfield, Amy Murphy's filly appears to be heading in the right direction. Harswell Rose recorded a much-improved performance when touched off at Newcastle and she would be dangerous to dismiss.

Vasilissa remains unexposed and could well build on a creditable fourth on her handicap bow at Lingfield on Saturday, but EVOLICATT has been eased in class following a respectable third over C&D and shades the vote. Chuck Taylor's Kempton success was arguably the result of a falling handicap mark and he warrants consideration, as does the hat-trick seeking Comedian Leader.

BATTLE POINT has been running with credit since being fitted with cheekpieces and his recent third, when returning from a break at Wolverhampton, suggested he may not be far away from gaining a first victory. Stroxx arrives following a couple of encouraging efforts over C&D and he is likely to figure once again. Amazing Amaya and Bluebird appear best of the remainder.

DUBAI JEANIUS justified favouritism when stepping up in trip here and a 4lb rise is unlikely to stop the five-year-old, who remains unexposed over middle distances. Ciao Adios landed the first division of the contest the selection won on her penultimate outing, prior to finishing second at Lingfield. Another solid bid is expected, while the extra furlong is likely to benefit Central City, who is just 1lb higher than his last winning mark.
