14:40 Fakenham

I’m keen to chance BRANDISOVA getting her head in front at Fakenham on Thursday. She hasn’t done a lot wrong in her last two starts and with further improvement on the cards this represents a good opportunity for her to finally break her duck. She left that reappearance run behind to chase home The Imposter at Lingfield. That is form that has been well advertised with that horse winning twice since. She then bumped into Atomic Angel at Catterick and that mare has acquitted herself well albeit in defeat since when fourth at Newcastle. She is back slightly in trip which will help and down a couple of pounds and I don’t think they’ll be any excuses here. The danger is probably Desert Fortune who should have more to come now pitched into a handicap but does need to improve on what we’ve seen.

20:00 Chelmsford

I can see ROSA DEL RIO proving popular in the betting at Chelmsford on Thursday. This filly took a big step forward to go close on handicap debut at Newcastle last time. She bumped into Russian Virtue on that occasion and that horse has gone back over hurdles since winning readily again at Sedgefield. She gets to run off the same mark and with a first-time visor added to a tongue-tie she could be ready to strike. She will be ridden quietly off the pace before looking to swoop late under David Probert who is usually a good judge of pace. Storm Catcher was involved in a dead-heat last time and is only 3lb higher so looks the danger but I think he is short enough in the betting at 11/8. Of the rest Deep Sigh ran one of her better races when second at Wolverhampton but needs to build on that now to win this.
