The likeable MONBEG GENIUS continues to go from strength to strength and it was hard not to be impressed with the way he followed up over C&D last time. He picked up in the style of a very promising horse and while this looks a little tougher he is clearly open to further improvement and I’m confident he can bring up the hat-trick. Ree Okka has plenty of ability but is proving a little frustrating and ran out of time to peg back Tide Times at Ludlow last time. He will likely go well again in first-time cheekpieces but might still be bumping into one. Super Survivor stayed on strongly to beat Mister Coffey over C&D last time and while he’ll need to improve on that form to follow up he is another one going the right way. Raddon Top was back in the winners enclosure at Exeter but is vulnerable to younger legs here.

I think it is safe to say LAUROLINE needed her debut run when well down the field over a mile here back in December. She quickly improved to get within half a length of winning dropped back to 7f here last month and with the step back up a furlong in her favour now she looks well placed to open her account. She brings the most potential to the table for me and as long as she gets a good pace to target turning in I think she’ll be finishing best. Banned has experience on side but she is also proving a little frustrating. She should obviously run her race in this as it lacks strength in depth but I do fancy the selection to improve past her and probably catch her late. Of the rest Dabana has only had the 6 starts and ran one of her better races when runner-up at Roscommon. If she improves she would also have to be feared.
