Contrast and Freak Out are closely matched judged on their encounter here in December and appeal as the main threats to the selection.

He won a shade cosily that day and, given the narrow winning margin, he strikes as one with lots more to offer. Staying in novice company looks a good move and he is very much the one to beat. Great State also has a bright future and rates as the best alternative. Saracen Head completes the shortlist.

Showmedemoney is respected after edging out End Zone over course and distance six days ago but a 5lb penalty leaves him vulnerable in his follow-up bid. Therefore, it can pay to switch allegiances to BIN HAYYAN, who is unexposed over this trip and it would come as no surprise to see more forceful tactics adopted with the four-year-old given that he was denied a clear run when sent off a well-backed favourite here last month.

COMEDIAN LEADER has become something of a winning machine of late and a fifth win in six starts could be in the offing for the daughter of Aclaim. A winner over C&D on her penultimate start, she can uphold form with Evolicatt (second) and get the better of the consistent Abbey's Dream, who has not been outside the first two home in her last five starts.
