I’ve always thought a fair bit of FINE CASTING and it is good to see him finally putting it all together now. The same can be said of his trainer Ben Pauling who is having a great season too. This seven-year-old recorded his third win over hurdles and by far his most impressive at Haydock last time and even up 8lb I think he is going to run a big race here. He always traveled menacingly last time and the way he went clear easily from what I thought was a good field at the time was quite taking for the grade.

The form hasn’t been massively franked since but there has only been three runners since and that wouldn’t concern me too much. Sayadam remains in good form for Kim Bailey and has won two of his last three so looks a lively danger. I think the pair battle this out but also keep an eye on Peejaybee as he still has potential even though things haven’t gone to plan so far.

I’ve been keeping my eye on HARTUR D’OUDAIRIES as I was impressed with the way he won on debut over hurdles over C&D back in November. He was pitched into a really tough race at Cheltenham next time and while he finished last he wasn’t massively disgraced and bounced back on reappearance to finish second at Exeter. He made a mistake three out on that occasion and the winner had flown who was clearly well handicapped.

I’d mark that up somewhat and with more to come off the same mark I think he can carry a big weight to victory here. Non Stop has won two from three since going over hurdles and is likable so he could run well but I think Bubble Dubi could be a greater threat. He is lightly raced too and his second to Tahmuras at Chepstow really stands out now. The rest need more and I think the winner comes from the top 3 highlighted in the betting.
