I am all over CHURCSTONEWARRIOR at Navan on Sunday. He has run 3 times over fences and has bumped into some very nice horses on each occasion. He kept on well to only go down narrowly on chase debut behind Thedevilscoachman at Galway back in October and then improved to finish second to The Goffer at Thurles. That form has obviously been franked with that horse winning impressively at the Dublin Racing Festival last weekend. He then beat all bar Gaillard Du Mesnil at the top level last time and he has Frontal Assault held on that form. With further progress anticipated he really should open his account over fences now. Mahler Mission bounced back to win easily over C&D last month and is feared most off the back of that. Glengouly took a tumble at Punchestown last time but still retains potential.

I’ve been with THE X O since he caught my eye on debut at Lingfield back in May. Since then he has progressed nicely shaping as though he needed the run when second at Chelmsford and then winning impressively over C&D last month. That was a good race he ran in at Lingfield last time and he certainly wasn’t disgraced finishing third. He was a bit keen early and got caught wide so I think you can mark that up somewhat. The form of his last two starts has worked out well and I’d have him clear favourite for this. Trabajo Detecho won at Newcastle last month where he was heavily backed and then bumped into an improver in Comedian Leader last time. That horse won next time out but was then beaten next time so there is a limit to that form but he is definitely the danger. Matching Sox best of the rest but definitely needs to improve again.
