This looks a good opportunity for OPERATION OVERLORD to make his mark over fences. This son of Jeremy impressed making a winning handicap debut over hurdles at this track back in November 2021. He was then sent over fences last year but things didn’t go to plan at Bangor where he was pulled up before 2 out. Freshened up it was good to see him bounce back when second here last month. He just looked a bit outpaced and as though he’d come on for the run. Stepping up in trip here should suit and I’m anticipating a big run. Lisloran landed back-to-back wins over C&D before struggling in testing ground at Catterick. If bouncing back he could get competitive but at the same time he looks on a stiff enough mark now. Broadway Joe has lost his way somewhat but has undergone wind surgery since that Musselburgh disappointment.

Despite pulling up at Market Rasen last time REPRESENTING BOB is still a horse very much to have on the radar. He is back over hurdles here in a bid to regain his confidence. He is off a much lower mark in this sphere and back in trip slightly it would be no surprise to see him come good again with first-time cheekpieces applied. His form a couple of years ago was progressive and if he bounces back from that latest blip he will be a danger to all. Secret Trix got his head in front at Fakenham on penultimate start and certainly wasn’t disgraced behind the right two horses at Uttoxeter last time. He will be the danger if in the same sort of form here. Royal Sam ran his best race to date when chasing home a progressive horse in Accidental Legend at Leicester at the start of the month. He is up 2lb but if building on that would be another to note.
