I know FLASH COLLONGES has proved a bit frustrating to follow but he hasn’t done a great deal wrong and he remains thoroughly unexposed over fences. He was last seen chasing home subsequent Grade 1 winner Thyme Hill at Exeter and given time since back in handicap company here he could prove tough to beat. He usually jumps well and that can prove an asset against these. Latitude ran well when third to Arizona Cardinal at Bangor but was poor behind The Cob at Uttoxeter and will need to bounce back to win this.
I actually think Ned Tanner might emerge as a greater danger as he impressed winning here on penultimate start and lacked fluency in the jumping department when only fourth last time. With a better round of jumping he should get competitive. Hold The Note fell at Doncaster and that might have knocked his confidence.

Saxon Warrior colt SAX APPEAL was an impressive winner over C&D last month and with further improvement a near certainty he looks a good bet to follow up. Joe Fanning is back in the saddle following seven months off the track with injury and he’ll be hopeful of a winning return. This colt still didn’t look the finished article when lengthening in the straight last time so there should be a fair bit more to come as he gains experience.
Muzaffar improved to go down just a neck at Newcastle last time and looks the immediate danger. Charm Spirit colt Moush should relish going up to this trip and is expected to run well too but he should be sharper for the run. Urban Outlook is another one I’ll be interested to see how he runs as he should have a bright future as his stamina is drawn out. Likely need this experience though on just his second outing.
