Connections decided against running PERSIAN TIME in the Sidney Banks at Huntingdon earlier this month and may well be rewarded here. I accept that a fair few of you will claim he was a fortunate winner here back in November but Master Chewy was coming under pressure at the time and the way he hit the line who knows what would have happened. I love the way he found more away from the last and he is sure to come on from that seeing as it was his debut over hurdles. He should love going up in trip here and remains a smart prospect. The yard obviously also have Attacca here too who has won his last two starts. He is clearly the danger to his stablemate having beaten Master Chewy at Cheltenham. No surprise to see the yard have a 1-2. Springwell Bay is another one who should have more to come up in trip and is also respected.

The way ERNE RIVER won over fences at Wetherby this time last year was mightily impressive so it was disappointing to see him take a tumble at Aintree. That clearly had a bigger effect than first thought as he disappointed at Sandown next time too. He didn’t run badly chasing home Hitman at Haydock on return but connections decided to come back over hurdles at Doncaster where he was beaten less than a length by a nice horse in Silver Flyer. He has had a wind op since and will be looking to win this probably before going back chasing. Green Book is in decent heart having got his head back in front at Sandown last time. He has to give weight away here though and that will be no easy task. Ashtown Lad won at Aintree and then backed that up with a big run at Warwick so is another one that should get competitive and run well.
