I think it is safe to say things haven’t gone to plan for FANTASTIKAS this season finishing down the field in the Becher before pulling up in the Welsh National when last seen. He has been given plenty of time since though and is a horse that retains a fair bit of potential. These are calmer waters and with a bit of help from the assessor he may well return to form here. If he does he is the best horse in the race and could prove tough to beat. Ede’iffs Elton is the short priced favourite at the time of writing but he only has 3 wins to his name and there didn’t seem to be too many excuses when only fourth here when last seen back in December. He is down 1lb and has had a wind op but I wouldn’t have him so short. Sam Barton could even be a bigger danger as he showed a good attitude to prevail at Worcester and had excuses when well backed at Ludlow last time.
