GYTO's Monday Notebook Double pays 12/1.
14:30 Lingfield
I loved the way LAZY SUNDAY found more under pressure to prevail at Exeter at the start of the month. She really battled on gamely in the closing stages to get on top at the line and now she knows how to win it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see her kick on. They pulled 6 lengths clear from the rest that day and had the field well strung out in behind. The horse that could just never go the gallop and was eventually pulled up Windance has bounced back and won by 16 lengths since to give the form some substance. She is up 5lb but should have a fair bit more to offer yet and this looks a good opportunity on paper to follow up. Universal Brook shaped well on debut for this yard beaten just a length at a big price at Ffos Las last month. If she builds on that she looks the danger.
15:15 Carlisle
The hat-trick seeking POST CHAISE looks worth keeping on side at Carlisle on Monday. He first caught the eye jumping poorly but doing well to finish second to Theme Tune at Haydock back in November. He confirmed that promise to win easily at Hereford last month, staying on strongly with the fence in the home straight omitted due to low sun. He was well backed and duly followed up at Huntingdon last time and is clearly a horse in a good place at the moment. His jumping has improved so even a further 9lb rise shouldn’t be enough to stop him making it 3 in a row. Tile Tapper is likeable and has run in some good races this season so should go well and emerge as the main danger. Lord Roco was knocking on the door when last seen and has been freshened up somewhat since.
