Jane Williams' charge took full advantage of a sliding handicap mark when winning at Lingfield in December and he followed that up with a good second at Sandown 15 days ago. He remains well treated, despite a subsequent 4lb rise, and he could take all the beating. Tap Tap Boom needs to bounce back after a couple of below-par efforts.

Having achieved a peak rating of 89 on the Flat, a chance is taken on POSTMARK. The four-year-old finished down the field on his hurdling bow over the festive period, but he ought to have learnt plenty from that initial experience and he's likely to mount a bold bid. He gets weight from Boom Boom, who could step forward on his first outing following wind surgery. Diamond Egg didn't make it past the second flight on his first start over timber but he'll be a threat to all with a clean round of jumping.

Having won on his debut last October, TINTINTIN has the best hurdles form and, given that he did well to finish just two lengths behind the progressive Spirit D'Aunou on his only subsequent start, the four-year-old looks capable of giving weight away at this level. Cloud Dancer faced a stiff test in a Listed Cheltenham bumper last month and is noteworthy on his introduction to hurdles. Jina needs to improve but completes the shortlist.

It could pay to side with FLYING NUN, who has at least tasted success over hurdles and is on a competitive mark for a race of this nature. Emma Lavelle's mare has won over this trip but quick ground would be a slight concern, which gives hope to Chloe's Court , who is the best alternative. Malina Jamila is back up in trip and is also considered.

TRAPISTA has yet to score over fences but her most recent third at Huntingdon was not devoid of promise. Conditions should suit in what looks a winnable contest and she is narrowly preferred to Monsieur Lecoq, who was a convincing winner over C&D last March. Family Business has not shown much in recent starts but the drop back in trip is likely to suit.

An easy winner on his debut here last November, IOLAOS DU MOU looks to have a very bright future and he can go someway to confirming that impression by following up under a 7lb penalty here. Idy Wood is an interesting recruit to the Jamie Snowden stable and should be monitored for market support, while similar comments apply to Ikalimix for a stable who know how to ready one.
