GYTO Tuesday Notebook Double

This is quite a good race for the grade but I’m confident WINDTOTHELIGHTNING will take a bit of beating. This mare caught the eye shaping well in defeat when third to Touchy Feely on debut over hurdles. Given a bit of time after she quickly improved to win by 12 lengths at Sedgefield last month. It was hard to gauge what she had beaten on the day but given the second Midnight Shuffle has come out and won next time out to frank the form it looks even better now. She goes handicapping off a mark of 110 and if improving should follow up. Let’s Go To Vegas bumped into Kateira at Huntingdon and that is a mare I rate a fair bit (my NAP today) so she looks the danger. Her opening mark is by no means generous though so she’ll need to be pretty useful to win this. Notnowlinda is another one who could run well here.

Monbeg Genius looks a really promising individual for Jonjo O’Neill so the fact STORMY FLIGHT managed to get within a length and a quarter of that horse at Chepstow rates him the one to beat here. He seemed to relish the step up in trip and if running to that sort of level again nudged up just 1lb he is sure to go close. Rex Dingle is riding well at the moment so that would be another plus to his chances too. Trixster is a 10yo now but he hasn’t been running badly in defeat this season and could be one of the dangers. All Dancer is still lightly raced but he needs to leave that last start well behind to get competitive here. He has been given a bit of time but he still has enough on his plate here. Reserve Tank was obviously a Grade 2 winner over fences as a novice but has struggled since. He did at least shape a little better last time but still hard to back off that.
