Following an 11/4 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
13:50 Lingfield
This looks a competitive 0-60 handicap but preference goes to the Keith Dalgleish trained Debydinks (best priced at 5/2) who runs here from 2lbs “well in” at the weights. The three-year-old is a maiden after 11 starts but he has been running consistently well with form figures of 542392 since being gelded.
Debydinks was only beaten a nose at Southwell 12 days ago off a mark of 48 and the handicapper has raised him 2lbs for that effort. He instead runs here off the same mark meaning that he is 2lbs “well in” at the weights and I expect him to prove hard to beat under Jason Hart with first time cheekpieces fitted.
14:50 Lingfield
Despite his poor recent form figures, a chance is taken on last year’s winner Cap D’Antibes (best priced at 14/1) in this race off only a 1lb higher mark. The Michael Roberts trained six-year-old won this race by a length off a mark of 59 last year before finishing a close up 5th on his next start over this course and distance off a mark of 62 on his next start.
Cap D’Antibes ran well to finish beaten only 5 ½ lengths on his reappearance in October before disappointing at Chelmsford on his next start. He has gone well fresh in the past and he looks worth taking a chance on following a wind operation and a 106 day break.

Godolphin hold a strong hand in this new race with both Fairy Cross and Mawj (best priced at 13/8) dominating the market but preference goes to the latter who I feel should be favourite for the race. The Saeed Bin Suroor trained three-year-old is higher rated than Fairy Cross by 5lbs and they meet here off level weights in this conditions race.
Mawj won the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket last year before finishing a close 3rd behind Lezoo in the Cheveley Park Stakes on her final start last season. She made a winning reappearance over 7f here in January which gives her a fitness edge over the favourite and I expect her to prove hard to beat under Danny Tudhope.
