CURVATURE made a promising debut over C&D in December and, with the benefit of that experience under her belt, may prove difficult to beat. The daughter of Lope De Vega was quite green in front when fourth to Kalikapour and the form of that race has been working out since. Alazne finished well on debut in the mile maiden won by News At Ten here earlier this month and is another that can be expected to progress from the run, while Florida Taiga also showed her inexperience in two outings last season and is another to keep in mind. Stormy Entry has won twice for Willie Browne here this year and he now introduces Paulos Princess while riding arrangements suggest Tasmanian Girl is the pick of Michael Grassick's two newcomers.

MISS MIRABELL won a Gowran maiden in runaway fashion last spring and wasn't disgraced subsequently in decent company. The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly made a bright start on the all-weather when finishing well behind Yerwanthere, and her stable has recorded a couple of winners here in recent weeks. Mulgrave cost just 5,000 out of a claimer and has proved an inspired acquisition winning four times all over this C&D. He comes here in the form of his life and is on a hat-trick following a clearcut win a fortnight ago. However an 17lb hike for those recent wins means he's now off a career high mark. Ransom is also on a hat-trick after two C&D wins while Pierre Lapin is also effective around here and is closely matched with the selection.

LAUROLINE has filled the runner-up spot twice here in recent weeks and can go one better. She made the odds-on Bold Ribb work hard over C&D before again playing second fiddle behind Solar Breeze. On a Line through the third and subsequent winner Dabana, she has the beating of Relevant Range, Expound and El Campeador. Surviving Murmansk holds strong claims on the bare form of his third to Harry's Bar here a fortnight ago. However, that was way above anything he's achieved before and it may be unwise to take a literal reading of the result having poached a clear lead by halfway.

BRONZE RIVER was keen and met minor traffic on his latest start and has previous form. Once rated 83 over middle-distances, he turned up at Royal Ascot in 2020 but has recently found a niche over today's trip and defeated Indiana Grey and Circles to win last month. The admirable Indiana Grey continues in form but is 4lb worse off with the selection, while Circle is 9lb higher than when winning by four lengths 23 days ago. Sondheim beat the selection to win over C&D in November, but is absent since and is 6lb higher. Storm Eric is unexposed but needs to replicate his recent run when beating Circles. Selective Power is a C&D winner, but was well enough held in first-time blinkers recently and is drawn wide in 16. Theriverrunsdeep has an excellent all-weather record but has raced predominantly over shorter distances, whereas Well Suited is better suited to a mile.

MEHMAN has really cut a dash in recent sprints and can dismiss a 13lb hike for his latest win. His grandmother was a half-sister to Arc winner Rail Link and while his early form was ordinary, he is a thoroughly progressive sprinter who could continue to improve. Stablemate Primo Uomo has been beaten by the selection on his last two runs and while 13lb better off today, should struggle to turn form. Harmony Rose was fourth to the selection here recently and while suited by this distance and 14lb better off, needs to show more. Tai Sing Yeh has been running well recently but steps up in grade, while Saliteh is best watched on her reappearance.

WONDER SPIRIT is ideally suited by this C&D and beat a subsequent dual winner to score recently. His rating had fallen before returning to form and he can defy a 5lb higher mark. Numidia won over a mile here recently but has form over this distance and should get involved, although is possibly open to less progression than the selection. Front-runner Power Drive is an in-form all-weather specialist but hasn't won for a year, while Final Fantasy hasn't won since June 2021 but performed well over C&D in a recent claimer and runs for new connections. Dr Patrick was well held by an easy winner here recently and has minor place claims.

OKITA SOUSHI drops markedly from his optimum trip but has class. He finished third at Royal Ascot in June and while his best form is over staying distances and he won over two miles here recently, he finished second over 1m4f at Listed level last May. San Andreas is rated 1lb lower and has recent form but tries a middle-distance for the first time, which is a big concern. Casanova is suited by this distance but his best form is on turf and he will have March's Lincoln in his sights, having finishing fourth in last year's renewal. Dash Of Spice, a 1,200gns purchase in October, is held by the selection, while John Alexander steps up from winning a lesser handicap. Cristal Clere won a December maiden but was well held on his last run.
