HEROIQUE DE MAULDE showed determination to win at Doncaster on his first start since undergoing wind surgery and, assuming he can deliver to the same level on the back of just a 16-day interval, he could be hard to beat again. Baron De Midleton concedes 5lb to the selection but is still respected, while previous C&D winner Ritson had a legitimate excuse last time out (lost his left-fore shoe and suffered a slight over reach) and may bounce back.

Long Symphony kept on well to secure a comfortable victory in a bumper at Wetherby over 2m earlier this month and must enter calculations on his hurdling bow, but HASHTAG BOUM finished a good second over 2m on her latest outing, also at Wetherby, so is fancied to improve marginally up in trip. Blue Fin has been consistent of late and can also have a say.

A tricky Eider to solve with several appealing contenders lining up, but the fact that the last eight winners were all aged between nine and 11 doesn't bode well for the current favourite at the time of writing - Kitty's Light - who seeks to secure victory in this as a seven-year-old. Last year's winner Win My Wings was also the first winning favourite since 2012, another trend that goes against her stablemate. Although BUSHYPARK steps up in class following a facile success in the Yorkshire Grand National at Catterick last month, it may pay to take a chance on the gelded son of Le Fou. The grade-dropping Shanty Alley is another who warrants a market check, while Eva's Oskar can also go well.

It is hard to look past the Venetia Williams-trained EASY AS THAT, who bolted up over an extended 2m5f at Haydock on his most recent run and could prove tough to pass if anywhere near that form. A 7lb raised mark for the aforementioned success looks unlikely to stop him following up, but a drop in trip could see Dubai Days build on a decent second at Ayr earlier this month. Ubetya seeks to bounce back from his most recent outing and completes the shortlist.

It is difficult to look past the consistent JUNGLE JACK, who has not been outside the first two home in six career starts and should be suited by dropping back in trip, having gone well for long stages at Haydock over further. Stainsby Girl is better than what she has shown in recent outings and this looks like a good opportunity, while course winner Voix Du Reve cannot be ruled out either.
