I think the key to KRAKEN POWER is getting cover early and that certainly didn’t happen last time as he went straight into the lead. For him to go as close as he did is probably an even better run than it looked and given he was eye-catching prior to that I still think he could have a race in him off this current mark. He beat Nellie French over C&D back in January when coming from just off the pace and if it pans out more favourably he can reverse that most recent form. He is due to go up 2lb so connections will be keen to take advantage of his current mark. Gunnerside continues to frustrate this season but again was only beaten half a length at Southwell last time so arrives here in good form and has to be feared once more. Hit Mac looked a tricky ride before opening his account at Wolverhampton but has been beaten twice since and needs more despite dropping another pound here.
