The lightly-raced PONT AVAL can get off the mark over fences. This 10-year-old mare has only been seen on a racecourse 10 times, but accrued victories in a bumper at Ballinrobe and in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown. She has had two outings over fences this year and showed improvement to finish second in a mares' beginners' chase at Fairyhouse. She was beaten a fair way but the winner, and stablemate, went off 2/7 favourite, which puts the run into context. My Design has faced tough tasks in Graded company over hurdles. As a former point-to-point winner, she is interesting on her chasing debut. Bay Ambition has experience over the bigger obstacles and kept on well for fourth at Fairyhouse. She is still looking for her first win over fences, but connections will see this as a good opportunity. Butterflyvespiere has won twice over hurdles, but is making her chasing bow after a massive absence.
Prediction : 1st Pont Aval 2nd My Design 3rd Bay Ambition

SANIBEL ISLAND brings solid form to the contest. He won staying handicap chases at Killarney and Downpatrick in October before finishing third in Punchestown the following month. He was caught on the line at Navan in January and another strong run looks likely. Made In The Woods has finished runner-up in his last three handicap chases and is on a competitive mark with Robbie Geoghegan claiming 7lb. Quarry Lil has won three times at this track and kept on for third at Thurles in December. Four Country Roads was the horse who collared Sanibel Island in Navan. He has to rate a danger if building upon that. O Mio Babbino stuck at it to get up by a length over an extended 2m5f in Thurles last week. She runs under the 7lb penalty but stays in the same grade, which aids her chance. Highstreetfashion has had over a month off after a busy and productive spell, and isn't out of it. This is a big step up in trip for Crowsatedappletart.
Prediction : 1st Sanibel Island 2nd Made In The Woods 3rd Quarry Lil

SOLDARO can take this 'unplaced' maiden. Restricted to horses who have run at least three times and haven't been placed in the first three, she enters the fray with the most solid piece of form. She came in fourth over further in Fairyhouse and is a half-sister to a seven-time winner. Viable alternatives are thin on the ground. Tipp For Mac's fourth in Listowel and sixth at Punchestown last year entitle him to respect in this field. Duncarrig showed some ability in fifth on his penultimate start at Tramore, but has to bounce back after being pulled up in Fairyhouse.
Prediction : 1st Soldaro 2nd Tipp For Mac 3rd Duncarrig

SHEAN GLORY was a decisive winner over C&D a fortnight ago and has to come under consideration off 5lb higher. She knows this track well and Phillip Enright has been booked again. This is the trip that Light Parade won over at Thurles in November. She hasn't run badly over further since then and can get in the mix. Little Token was staying on in fifth when she unseated her rider at the final flight in the race won by Shean Glory at this track. She has some notable form here, including when victorious in this race last year. Parvos and Truckers Angel are two with chances among the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Shean Glory 2nd Light Parade 3rd Little Token

TRUST ME NATE could go one better after filling the runner-up berth at Limerick last month. There was a lot of merit in his performance as, although he was outgunned by the favourite on the run-in, he came in 14 lengths clear of the third. Figaroc was runner-up in a conditions hurdle on his sole appearance in his native France. He hasn't shown the same level of form in two Irish starts, but is likely to go much better here. Je T'ai Porte has won twice on the all-weather surface in Dundalk. She makes her jumping debut and is sure to have been well schooled. Market strength would be informative.
Prediction : 1st Trust Me Nate 2nd Figaroc 3rd Je Tai Porte

ATLANTIAN posted his best effort to date in second when upped in trip to an extended 2m6f at Navan. He was fully seventh jumping the last and made up plenty of ground in the closing stages, which bodes well as he tries 3m for the first time. The fact that the horse a couple of lengths behind him in third came out and won in Fairyhouse boosts confidence. Getaclan is a long-standing maiden, but she avails of Ben Harvey's 5lb claim and is capable of banking a cheque. Tangental was very heavily backed over an extended 2m3f at this track last month, but finished fifth on his first start since switching to Colm Murphy. It will be interesting to see if his backers return. There is likely to be more to come from him.
Prediction : 1st Atlantian 2nd Getaclan 3rd Tangental

ISHAN brought up plenty of bets when obliging in a big field at Punchestown last month. The horse he beat more than 14 lengths into third was good enough to come out and land a handicap hurdle at Punchestown, so Ishan certainly has prospects of following up over a trip he clearly enjoys. Killinure Lass was beaten two and a quarter lengths into second by Ishan at Punchestown. She kept on without troubling the winner, but has a shot at revenge on 6lb better terms. Stolen Moment has been placed in her last three handicap hurdles. Sheila Ahern takes 7lb off her back again and the pair look set for more prize money.
Prediction : 1st Ishan 2nd Killinure Lass 3rd Stolen Moment
