With the ground already yielding and more rain on the way conditions could be perfect for THE KING OF PRS as he bids to follow up that Punchestown victory. He was an eye-catcher on reappearance at Fairyhouse and then improved to win nicely by 4 lengths last time. He is up 8lb but is unexposed and looks to have found a decent opportunity to go in again. Firstman was a decent sort on the Flat and he could emerge as the main danger off a workable opening mark. If he is heavily backed then that would be a bit concerning but I’m confident the selection should have the edge. Ballinlough Gale didn’t find much last time and is going to need to improve but is obviously in the right hands. Ventnor is still a maiden but he shaped better when third at Clonmel last time and would be another one to note if building on that.

With 3 wins from 4 starts EVANIA really impressed getting her head back in front at Southwell last month. She stayed on well to win readily and the second Capital Theory has since won at Chelmsford to frank the form. She is open to further improvement especially at this trip given it is just the third time she is trying it. She is up 5lb but there should be good pace on here and I can see her getting a nice toe in before proving too strong in the closing stages. Nolton Cross is also thriving chasing a hat-trick but he looks the one most likely to go forward so could end up setting it up for the selection. Contact has a good record fresh and makes his AW debut now so is another one that could get seriously competitive. Base Note let backers down at Lingfield last time and needs to bounce back to land a blow in this.
