Erosion Risk has finished runner-up on 5 of his last 6 starts now but did get within an agonising nose at Wolverhampton last month and has to be respected. He will run well but I’m siding with the potential of CRIMSON ANGEL for Clive Cox. This Harry Angel filly shaped with promise on debut back in November before making the breakthrough at Lingfield last month. That was quite a taking display as she was slowly into stride and learnt on the job before staying on strongly in the closing stages. She should be more streetwise now and I think she will follow up with further improvement on the cards. Medici Chapel remains lightly raced and is in good hands but she didn’t find much last time and her hopes are pinned on the drop back in trip suiting here. Shine’s Ambition is in calmer waters and is another to note.

It was good to see LILKIAN back in the winners enclosure over 6f here last time. He is often a horse to keep on side once he is back in form and with the drop back to the minimum trip posing no issue he looks sure to take a bit of beating under a 5lb penalty. The clock backed up that performance last time and he is expected to be a warm order in the betting. Man On A Mission is fully effective here having won three times over C&D and he also arrives in form with recent figures of 111532 going down just a neck at Southwell last time. He needs them to go hard though and might just get going too late again. Pablo Del Pueblo was 3 lengths behind the selection last time so has work to do to close that gap here as seems in the handicappers grip for now.
