However, a chance can be taken on MUSTAFFIZ, who runs off the same mark as when third last time at Chelmsford, where he wasn't beaten far in this grade over this trip. Others of interest include last-time-out winner My Boy Jack and Apache Star.

This looks an open contest and MINTANA can make it two wins out of her last four starts. The three-year-old filly beat the reopposing Furnicoe (second) on her penultimate start over 5f and is fancied to see out this longer trip to score again. Blue Yonder is respected on his handicap debut for the Richard Fahey yard as he returns from a break, while South Dakota Sioux has to be of interest as he has been running consistently of late and he tries first-time cheekpieces.

CLASS MEMBER built on her debut effort at this venue when finishing runner-up at Southwell last month and that form looks the best on offer. There are plenty of dangers, though, headed by the experienced pair of Cruella De Vill and Radio Goo Goo, both of whom have a number of good efforts to their name. While My Turn Now is open to improvement after finishing second on her racecourse debut over C&D last Monday and is another who can't be ruled out.

Nolton Cross looked better than ever when completing the double over C&D last month and he isn't taken lightly, despite a 7lb rise for his latest success. Contact boasts some strong turf form from the summer and is another to note if proving as effective on this all-weather debut.

HEATHEN proved a different proposition when winning with ease on the step up in trip to an extended 1m4f at Newcastle in September and, despite being hit with an 8lb rise, Ed Dunlop's charge looks to have more to offer. Johnny Boom has race-fitness on his side after being collared near the finish over C&D last Monday and he rates an obvious threat off the same mark. In-form pair Greystoke and Down To The Kid are others to note in a competitive-looking contest.

Not for the first time, PORT NOIR failed to fire at Southwell last month but she loves it here and could bounce back now returned to Dunstall Park. The Robert Stephens-trained six-year-old is now 5lb lower than her last success and races off a 1lb lower mark than when narrowly held over this C&D in late January. However, dangers abound in the shape of So Chic, who also went very close over this track and trip two starts ago, and the returning Prenup, who would be a big player if picking up where she left off in September.

Rockley Point got up to win by a head in a similar event last time at Southwell, and he is highly likely to be on the premises once more. However, the Mark Loughnane-trained JANAAT is fancied to come out on top, as the four-year-old steps into this class for the first time and he can take full advantage under Luke Morris. Another that warrants plenty of respect is Blackcurrent, who is likely to be competitive after filling the runner-up spot last time.
