It was good to see PYRAMID PLACE back in the winners enclosure at Wetherby last month. He ran on strongly from off the pace to win with a bit in hand and despite getting beat at the same venue last time that was a solid run in defeat and he has more to come off the same mark here. That was a good race with Impulsive One and Progressive in front of him and back down in calmer waters here I make him the one to beat. Kotmask is a horse I like for Gary Moore and I expect him to improve from that second at Plumpton last month. He looks the danger with the promise of more to come. Lifetime Legend bolted up at Catterick last month but this is a better race and he carries a penalty so that tempers enthusiasm slightly. Forever Blessed won his first two starts before pulling up at Chepstow and then was poor at Exeter so a point to prove.

I have been a big fan of THE X O and he continues to impress making it 2 wins from his last 3 starts over this trip at Southwell last month. The runner-up Matching Sox and the third Dyed In The Wool are both nice types and the fourth Trabajo Detecho won next time out at Newcastle to frank the form. He is up 7lb but did that with plenty up his sleeve last time and looks on an upward trajectory. I think the market has it spot on and Celtic Champion is the obvious danger. He beat Danger Alert at Lingfield last month overcoming a pace bias and looks capable of better so should give the selection something to think about. Amy Santiago remains unexposed and she impressed beating Class Member at Southwell although that form has been let down somewhat by the runner-up since. This race is likely to work out really well in time.
