This might look quite open on paper but I’m keen to take a chance on NASIM for Mick Appleby. This son of Galileo Gold has been on the go a while but justified strong support to finally get his head in front for this yard at Chelmsford last month. He was given a patient ride by Jason Watson and came through to win readily in the end. He only went up 3lb in the handicap and caught the eye trying a mile and a quarter for the first time at this track last month. That run may just have come a bit too soon and also it paid to be up with the pace in that race. He was nearest finish and clearly has more to come over this trip so looks good value in the market here despite being 4lb higher. Hopefully Arenas Del Tiempo puts good pace to the race as that will help him. The danger is probably the favourite Tudor who is on a hat-trick and has been freshened up. Rikona is also noted.
