This should be a good race between the front pair but I loved the attitude BURNISH showed to get his head in front over C&D last month and he gets the vote. He was asked to go and win the race two furlongs out and kept finding all the way to the line to narrowly prevail. The second Aclaimed Art is a nice colt for James Tate and he had won prior to that race so the form looks decent. That was his handicap debut and up just 3lb I suspect there is more in the locker yet. Lope De Vega colt Razoni justified strong support to win nicely at Newcastle and looks the obvious danger. The form is yet to work out but like the selection he is clearly going the right way now. Look Back Smiling reacted well to the first-time cheekpieces to win at Newcastle last month but this looks tougher up 4lb.

With both Noble Savage and Tedwin Hills now out this looks a great opportunity for PRINCE NINO to open his account. He has clearly been a work in progress and would have finished a lot closer but for a bad mistake at Taunton where the rider even lost his iron briefly. He is 2lb lower here and is open to improvement so should run well under Paul O’Brien. Electric Annie does like this C&D but has been beaten a fair way on both starts since returning and even down 3lb still needs to show more before she could be of serious interest.

Begin The Luck is on a lengthy losing run and hopes will be pinned on going back up in trip to get involved. Dr Hegarty is also up in distance now handicapping so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him take a step forward. This is a desperately weak race so the selection should take a bit of beating.
