I thought SHIGHNESS would be shorter than 7/4 so she definitely has to be the play. She is 2-2 over C&D and has won 3 of her last 5 over hurdles now. She ran on well last time and had too much for Halifax who franked the form winning his next start. She is up 5lb but is improving all the time and I think she is comfortably the most likely winner. Universal Folly is capable and probably just about shades it as the main danger. He was a good second to Pyramid Place at Wetherby and if building on that could get involved. I don’t think he is crying out for this step back up in trip though. Here Comes Mccoy was third behind the selection last time and unseated prior to that so has enough to prove on the balance of his form. If Buster Valentine stays he might be value to hit the frame.

Enjoy Your Life will probably be popular here off what looks a handy looking mark but I really like CEDAR ROW for Jonjo O’Neill. This son of Westerner ran on strongly for fifth behind Cedar Row in a good race here last time. He was doing all his best work late so this step up in trip on handicap debut should bring out the best in him. I expect him to improve plenty and I’m confident he’ll end up going off favourite come post time. If Enjoy Your Life doesn’t run up to expectations then don’t rule out Pilsdon Pen who put in a likeable performance to win at Exeter before running a bit flat when well backed at Plumpton. He could still be on the up so will likely get competitive. Some Scope was an Irish point winner but he is yet to impress over hurdles and looks to have plenty to prove.
