The way IN THIS WORLD won on debut at Warwick was mightily impressive. He travelled strongly through the race and took it up 2 out before going clear head in chest. The issue is we haven’t seen him since so he has a 493-day lay-off to defy but he remains a horse with plenty of potential and if the market is positive he looks to have a great chance to go 2-2 here. He goes handicapping off a mark of 131 and that could prove really lenient. Bubble Dubi was well backed at Warwick last month but failed to fire only managing fifth and while I think he can do better at some point I want to see more from him before I could back him. Galice Macalo won by 10 lengths at Chepstow in January and wasn’t disgraced in a Grade 2 at Doncaster behind Epatante so is another one that could get competitive here.

There was lots to like about the way KILLALOAN won over C&D 3 weeks ago. He was always up with the speed under Harry Cobden and despite not jumping fluently took it up going best and came readily clear. He is improving all the time and now handicapping with more to come he should be able to follow up. The fifth Looking For Larry won next time out at Exeter (dead-heated) to give the form some substance too. An opening mark of 112 should prove workable and it is no surprise to see him favourite for this. I would like to see him jump better but that should come as he gains more experience and if they go a truer gallop here that would also help. Book Of Secrets did well on the Flat and has shaped with promise on all 3 starts over hurdles so with more to come looks the biggest danger.
