However, the mare is taken to bounce back from that experience and gain a first career success under Rules in a contest that appears to be open. Budarri returned to winning form at Musselburgh over further last time and is capable of being in the mix, despite a 5lb rise. Others to consider are Going Mobile and Fearless Action.

FAITHFULFLYER has been in consistent form in recent months and ran with plenty of credit when third at Musselburgh over 3m last time. The drop back in trip is unlikely to be an inconvenience and he gets the vote at the main expense of Bella Bluesky, who is entitled to step forward from her third at Newcastle in January. Agilulf and City Derby appear best of the remainder.

APPLAUS has been raised 4lb for winning in this class last time at Carlisle, when staying on strongly at the finish. Two subsequent winners have come out of that race and the gelding looks to have leading claims once more. Another last-time-out winner is Bertie's Wish, who won nicely in a first-time hood over C&D and could be capable of being involved, even with a 7lb rise. Hashtag Boum completes the shortlist on her handicap debut under Brian Hughes.

Trac won over 2m5f last time at this track and was put up 7lb for that comfortable win. The six-year-old has been running consistently well of late and he is likely to continue his fine form here. However, he may struggle to confirm the form from last time with COOLMOYNE, who is now 8lb better off and travelled better than Trac over the longer distance. Tom Creen isn't ruled out as he takes a slight drop in class.

The Donald McCain-trained ON CLOUD NINE could be hard to beat if she lives up to her pedigree. She is out of a 2m1f hurdles winner in France and changed hands for 35,000 pounds after finishing second in an Irish point-to-point last November. Touch Of A Dragon wasn't beaten far in similar race at Ayr and is the best alternative, with Scarlet O'tara and Tintagel Queen others to bear in mind.
