Expert Eye colt UMBERTO ran a massive race on debut last year to get within a head of victory at Kempton. Inexperience ultimately cost him just being worried out of it in the closing stages by a horse with more experience. The way he went through that race was quite taking and with that initial outing under his belt now he should be capable of going one better here. The front pair pulled 3 lengths clear from the rest so the form looks solid enough. Ensued is the likely danger as he just got caught further back than ideal when third at Salisbury and he ran on nicely in the closing stages. With that under his belt he should improve and make a race of it. Connemara Coast improved from his debut run to win at Wolverhampton and is another one with a bright enough future.

I usually try and see how Aidan O’Brien juveniles are running before I back one but such was the promise BROADHURST showed on debut at Navan I make him a decent play here. This No Nay Never colt did all his best work late to run on strongly to finish second to Harry Time and he could be a very nice type now up in trip to 7f. The third Beauty Crescent has won his next two starts since looking a lovely prospect as well so the form is working out. Experience should count for plenty here and I expect him to prove too strong under Wayne Lordan. Livio Milo showed up well enough as a 2yo in two starts to think he could do well this season and might be the danger. Shadowed bumped into the likes of Crypto Force and Auguste Rodin last year and is another one that could run well here.
