UK Horse Racing Tips: Dundalk

Tai Sing Yeh has gone up 3lb following a comfortable success over 6f at this track earlier this month, but he could face a tough assignment off top weight so preference is for COLLECTIVE POWER. He finished in second behind Tawaazon last time out but can reverse that form given he is 8lb better off at the weights. The gelded son of Invincible Spirit is still a player, though, while Little Queenie adds further spice to the race.

LEX MAXIMA is entitled to reverse recent form with Celtic Revival in this contest and marginally shades the vote. He was beaten by the latter over C&D by half a length, but is now 3lb better off with that rival and should not be taken lightly. Golden Sandbanks is interesting on his return from a short break, while Supreme Law is another expected to go well.

BOWERMAN won with a bit in hand over C&D a fortnight ago and, having been rated far higher in the past, a 6lb rise (negated with Adam Caffrey's 7lb claim) looks unlikely to stop him from mounting another bold bid. Higher Kingdom has been steadily progressive in recent starts and the son of Kingman is a player once again, while the unexposed Cold Steel demands the utmost respect as he bids to land the hat-trick.

HERO OF THE HOUR's winning run may have come to an end last time out but he still performed with credit and there is plenty to suggest that he could bounce back against rivals he's seen off before. One of those is Un Bacio Ancora, who has done well since joining new connections but has a wide draw to overcome. Eglish and Pulse Of Shanghai look the pick of the James McCauley-trained brigade.

This can go the way of HEARTRATE, who got his three-year-old campaign off to a promising start when runner-up here to a subsequent winner earlier in the month. The step up in trip is another plus and he is preferred to the likes of Lily Maguire and Initial Attempt, who performed well when second over further here last time out. Empty Metaphor and Sea Chariot are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

The value may lie with MAGNANIMOUS MEHMUS, who has been running well since plying his trade on the all-weather and produced a career-best when placed over C&D in December. He is entitled to improve from his first go at this trip and that may be enough to see off Distillate (first) and Bright Dick (third), who didn't have much between them here earlier in the month. Completing the shortlist are the likes of Fleetfootsoldier, Havana Notion and Memorial Verse.

BENAVENTE found only a progressive rival too good when runner-up over a mile here earlier in the month and 2lb rise for that effort doesn't look insurmountable. The form of Circles' C&D success last month has worked out fairly well and she's feared most, despite racing off a career-high mark. Yester almost sprang a shock when finishing second at this venue in February and the seven-year-old shouldn't be underestimated if allowed to dictate from the front.

FEATURE THIS has improved since stepping up to a mile, winning over C&D under Robert Whearty (from 5lb lower) before finishing a good second on her latest outing. Unexposed at this trip, the daughter of The Gurkha should have more to offer and a second career success could be in the offing. Numidia was beaten three quarters of a length over the extended 1m2f here last month and remains of interest. All four of Ellabella's victories have come over C&D and, despite a career-high mark, it would be dangerous to write her off. Others to note include The Bog Bank and Royal Tribute.
