GYTO's Tuesday Notebook Double pays 8/1.

I’m going to chance MARTY TIME getting his head in front at Hexham on Tuesday. This horse didn’t show a great deal on his first three starts over hurdles but took a big step forward despite being sent off a big price on handicap debut at Leicester last month. He was only beaten 3 and a half lengths and the front three pulled clear from the rest with the field well strung out. He is only 1lb higher here and should improve again so very much looks the one to beat. Golan Cloud pulled up behind Shot Boii at Uttoxeter on return but ran a cracker at 40/1 to finish fourth last time. Down to a mark of 82 he could easily be the danger if building on that latest effort. Petite Rhapsody was well held when last seen at Perth and usually needs his first run back so is perhaps best watched here. Lewa House has his hopes pinned on first-time cheekpieces.

No surprise to see SHADES OF SUMMER top the betting for this as she remains lightly raced and almost certainly has more to offer. I know she was turned over as favourite at Chelmsford last time but in hindsight probably came with her effort too soon and she may have needed that too back from a short absence. Racing off the same mark here I expect her to take full advantage under a red-hot Rossa Ryan. Hopefully he delivers her at the right time as I think she is the best horse in this race. Alafdhal is dangerous if it pans out right for him but he has been on the go a long time now and finished stone last at Chelmsford last time so has a bit to prove off the back of that. Watermelon Sugar was very promising initially but has struggled a bit recently. A handy draw might help him though down to a realistic looking mark.
