French Claim is obviously a talented colt and he will probably be popular here given he is proven fresh too but I like OKITA SOUSHI in opposition. This son of Galileo is now on a hat-trick having won on reappearance over 2 miles at Dundalk and then showed his class back down in trip to follow up last time. Back up to a mile and three quarters in testing ground with a 7lb claimer booked he looks sure to give his running once more. He has to concede weight but has race fitness on side and that could prove a big factor in the finish. I do think this is probably a two-horse race but of the rest Oriental Eagle was last seen in winning form at Limerick but we haven’t seen him for nearly 3 years so it is a bit of a guessing game as to how much ability is still intact. Phoenix Cowboy was struggling when last seen but the break might have done him good.

I’m looking forward to seeing MOUNT ATHOS out again as he bids to complete the hat-trick. He was impressive making the breakthrough at Thirsk making all the running and then followed up under aggressive tactics again over C&D when last seen. A 12lb rise looks fully warranted on that last performance and he is clearly a colt firmly on the upgrade now. There isn’t a huge amount of speed on so I think James Doyle will bounce him out in front again and it will be catch me if you can. Dubai Station got back to winning ways at Wolverhampton last time and if he gets this extra furlong he will be the danger as that was quite a promising performance. Vafortino got his head back in front at Goodwood and is another one who brings potential to the table on reappearance especially as he got within a neck of victory when fresh last year too.
