George Scott's filly can improve again and is narrowly preferred to Woolhampton, whose third in a 5f Newbury Listed contest in August sets a clear standard but she has a 167-day absence to overcome. Pearly Star is a half-sister to an all-weather winner and warrants resect on debut.

MELLYS FLYER hinted his turn may be near when a decent third at Kempton latest and he drops back to his last winning mark (on turf) here, with the booking of a 3lb claimer further reducing the weight he carries. C&D winner Bang On The Bell also performed well for a bronze medal off 1lb higher latest and must be considered, while Shades Of Summer should take much closer order now dropped in class and in the ratings.

Derek Shaw's mare just held off the reopposing Rockley Point (second) over C&D 22 days ago and she is now 4lb worse off with that rival. However, the selection is berthed kindly out of stall one, as opposed to the latter in stall 10, and that could see her uphold that form en route to another success. Glorious Charmer remains in good form and must be considered, while the unexposed Show Compassion can't be ruled out either.
