The way WESTERN BEAT won over C&D back in January suggests she should still be well handicapped off a mark of just 64. I know she was beaten at Chelmsford last month but she was slowly into stride that day and was always on the back-foot as a result. She just couldn’t peg the leaders back and was tenderly handled once the race had gone. Back at this venue if she can get away on terms I think we’ll see a much better performance.

The danger could be Trailblazer who remains lightly raced and he ran well when third to Buxted Too over further here last time. His run over C&D prior to that behind Russian Virtue also stacks up so he is definitely a player. He was behind the selection prior to that though so you could argue he is strictly held on that piece of form. Of the rest Heatherdown Hero was in good form when last seen and has since changed yards so should also be feared.
