The gelding was keen on his latest outing but his stamina is more proven than most, which could be a vital asset here. A fiendishly wide-open contest, in which it might pay dividends to side with JACKMEISTER RUDI. The son of Churchill has been running with credit on the all-weather of late, but he should relish the return to turf. He's now 4lb lower than when a good second on soft ground at Catterick in October and a relatively low draw could further aid his chances. Others to note include Martin's Brig, Enderman, and Rain Cap.

HOOTS TOOTS was in good form when last seen, notching up a brace of victories at Southwell, and the latest of those came off a 5lb lower mark. He showed promise on turf last year and the son of Outstrip might have more to offer after a 194-day break. Spartakos is only 1lb higher than when finishing a good second at Catterick in October and, with conditions to suit, he should be on the premises. Darbucks can chase them home.

HOLLY BLACKMORE was far from disgraced at Chelmsford in February, where she finished a creditable third despite racing freely. The daughter of Kessaar is bred to be much better than a mark of 49 and she could take a step forward now racing on turf for the first time. Bedazzling merits respect on her stable debut, along with Mystical Dreams, who has dropped to an attractive mark. Teresa Grace should not be underestimated either.

A facile winner over this trip at Leicester on his most recent outing in October, it could be worth siding with FEN TIGER on his return from a break. He has gone up 5lb for the aforementioned success, but the fact that Frederick Larson negates most of that rise courtesy of his 3lb claim must make the five-year-old of significant interest. Marbuzet and Victoriano are the main dangers.
