Back over fences GOLD CLERMONT has taken her form up a few notches in recent starts winning gamely at Plumpton last month before following up impressively at the same venue last time. She stayed on strongly on that occasion and remains fairly unexposed as a staying chaser. She is up another 8lb but if in the same form will take a lot of stopping with Caoilin Quinn in the saddle again.

Prince Des Fichaux ran well when second to the improving Spike Jones at Fontwell and looks the biggest danger if building on that which was his chasing debut. Duc De Beauchene has the form in the book to be dangerous here but he is a 10yo now and this looks a stiff enough task on the face of it. Pottlerath wasn’t entirely disgraced on chase debut at Chepstow and at least will enjoy going back up in trip here.

After catching the eye when a fast finishing third at Lingfield it was good to see LETMELIVEMYLIFE get his head back in front over this C&D at the start of last month. He improved again to follow up at Wolverhampton last time and comes here with a great chance of landing the hat-trick now. He is due to go up another 2lb in the future so connections will try and strike again while the iron is hot. With Barging Thru in here he should get a good pace to target and I think he is the most likely winner again.

Revolutionise also likes a strong pace to run down so he could be the danger having only gone down a length at Wolverhampton last time. Poetic Force sprung a big surprise to get his head back in front on penultimate start but failed to back that up at Wolverhampton last time so has a bit to prove once more.
