Earlofthecotswolds won this last year and will have his supporters again but BERKSHIRE ROCCO looks a standout to me. He came sweeping through to win readily at Southwell back in January and he had Earlofthecotswolds trailing back in third on that occasion. He ran well in defeat when runner-up at Kempton with the latter in behind again and this stiffer test of stamina should prove ideal so he is taken to confirm that form over the second fav. Barenboim has won 3 of his last 4 and still looks to be capable of better so might be the danger if improving again. Fleurman won twice over this trip before bumping into Earlofthecotswolds so shouldn’t be too far away but at the same time probably has a bit to find on that bare form.

The eye is immediately drawn to the unbeaten BREWING here and I’m keen to keep him on side. With Tom Marquand still in Australia Ryan Moore has been booked for the ride and this son of Showcasing should be capable of bringing up the four-timer. He still looked far from the finished article last season and with more to come stepping up to a mile for the first time he should be hitting the line hard. Aussie Banker took his form up a few notches to win at Kempton and Wolverhampton before going down just a neck on final start. He likely has more to offer and might be the danger. Power Of Darkness is quite a big price though and might be a touch of value to hit the frame as he didn’t shape badly beaten just a length at Newcastle last month.
