Lounge Lizard stayed on well to win easily at Catterick last time but a 7lb rise looks a little harsh and I don’t think he is a certainty to back that up. I am going to take him on with who I think is the obvious value in the race in the shape of KAYF HERNANDO for Dan Skelton. This horse really impressed on just his second start over fences winning by 11 lengths at Taunton and was far from disgraced having gone up 9lb when third at the same venue next time.

Given time since he is open to further improvement and I can see him going very well here. Tommie Beau impressed winning readily last month but Plumpton form doesn’t always hold up and this looks more competitive shouldering a 5lb rise. Arizona Cardinal is also worth a mention but suffered a heavy defeat at Kempton and has a bit to prove off the back of that.
