This looks a good opportunity for TIMELESS MELODY to make the breakthrough now. This Teofilo filly caught the eye chasing home the useful Hello Jumeirah on final start for Charlie Appleby and given time since could make a winning start for William Haggas. She looks to bring the most potential to the table in this field and 7/4 at the time of writing seems generous. Acclamation colt Frequent Flyer has plenty of experience compared to these having run four times already and he will be the danger if forgiving that last run at the Curragh. This is easier so he should get competitive. Mexicali Rose knew her job when third on debut at Newmarket finishing third but failed to back that up at Lingfield and she is going to need to get back on track to have a squeak in this.

This looks to be between the top pair in the betting and I’m keen to side with WASPY. He shaped with promise when third in a bumper at Wetherby and then improved to chase home Crambo at Bangor when last seen in February. That form is pretty solid given the winner has gone on to win the EBF Final and if he progresses as expected looks well placed here to go one better. Thunderclap is gradually improving and shaped well in defeat when runner-up at Huntingdon last month. He will be winning a race like this soon so should give the selection something to think about. Of the rest Artiste D’ainay bumped into the promising Quaresome at Musselburgh last month but was beaten 6 and a half lengths so while that is good form he will need to improve again in this.
