With recent form figures of 11212 it is hard to knock ANGLE LAND right now and I thought she was a bit unlucky to be pegged back at Southwell last time. The winner Kape Moss looks a filly on the up for David Loughnane so I think the form will workout in time. She has won on turf in the past so off just a 2lb higher mark here I think she can get back in the winners enclosure. Spoof is on a long losing run but at least he got within a head of victory at Doncaster last time and if building on that will get seriously competitive here. Faustus is a stablemate to the selection but he has won off this sort of mark in the past so it wouldn’t surprise to see him give the selection most to think about. Libra Tiger is down the bottom of the weights and while he has place claims he needs to better that recent fifth at Kempton.

I have been waiting for JUST OVER LAND to run again after catching the eye on return at Hereford last month. He is a brother to the useful Good Risk At All and has looked a work in progress so far. He lacked fluency last time but did close up quite stylishly before just keeping on at the same pace. I expect him to be sharper again here and with Finn Lambert claiming 5lb on his handicap debut he may well open his account now. Mr Hailstone didn’t run badly when second at Sedgefield last month but he was beaten 12 lengths and while he is unexposed he needs to improve to win this. Royal Mer ran well when runner-up behind Samtara following a wind op at Hereford and if improving could even be the main danger. Bert Wilson is in good form too but a further 7lb rise definitely applies more pressure now.
