This looks a good opportunity for MEA DOMINA to open her account on these shores. She won twice in France and ran a big race on debut for this yard when third to Buckaroo at Leopardstown last time. She went forward and set a good gallop but I liked the way she stuck to the task once headed and fought off the fourth in the closing stages despite that rival closing from off the pace. The two in front of her look very useful and that should be a decent piece of form. If she improves again then she should be a cut above this field. Goldana is by Galileo Gold and is interesting on debut for Joseph O’Brien but you’d need to see strong support for her before you could be confident. Power Under Me was a couple of places behind the selection last time so has work to do.

It was good to see DROP HIM IN finally capitalise on a falling mark to win so easily over C&D 19 days ago and if in the same form back up 8lb then he should take a lot of stopping. He had Doyens De Ante over 5 lengths back in second and looks capable of confirming that form here despite the swing in the weights. Eurkash fell at Plumpton when last seen but could get competitive with a clear round of jumping. He has struggled to win for a while though so that is a bit concerning. Dreamsundermyfeet didn’t run badly at Catterick back in February but went off the boil behind Flann at Leicester and has plenty to prove off the back of that returning from a short absence. This really does look a race lacking strength in depth so the favourite should go and get the job done.
